"Red Dead Redemption" fans are expecting for the game's sequel to be unveiled by video game development company Rockstar Games at the recently begun Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 in Los Angeles. A couple of incidents made avid "Red Dead Redemption" fans believe that there is truth to the development of the game's next installment and thus look forward to getting a glimpse of it at the E3 event.

In his previous interview with MCV UK, Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two Interactive, said, "We will be there in a big way," referring to the company's attendance in this year's E3 convention. This led gamers to speculate that the follow-up to "Red Dead Redemption" will be introduced at the event.

Moreover, fans took notice that Rockstar Games is listed by E3 in the event's official Twitter page as part of the 52 members comprising video game development companies and publishers that are anticipated to be present in the gathering.

In addition to these hints that apparently set fans eager and excited for an alleged "Red Dead Redemption 2" unveiling, a Twitter user going by the name of Yan2295 also recently "confirmed" in a post that the new western-themed action adventure video game will make a debut as it will be announced at E3. The user Yan2295 claims in his Twitter account profile that he is a "Rockstar Games specialist."

Even prior to all these claims suggesting the legitimacy of "Red Dead Redemption 2," there were already a few leaks containing details of the supposed new "Red Dead Redemption" installment. For instance, in a discussion thread in the forum section of the website NeoGAF, an image of a map was posted. It was believed to be the new map of a rather expansive open world particularly showcasing the playable area for "Red Dead Redemption 2."

Gaming fans will have to keep in mind that all these are but assumptions about the reality of "Red Dead Redemption 2."

It has been six years since the release of the first "Red Dead Redemption" game, which in itself is a sequel to "Red Dead Revolver" from 2004. Now it will only be taking a little more while to confirm if "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be happening as E3 2016 is already ongoing.
