'Rainbow Six Siege Japan' DLC release date: 'Operation Red Crow' confirmed, new operators, location expected
After being prematurely revealed in a Twitter leak, the Japan-themed "Rainbow Six Siege" downloadable content (DLC) has now been made official by Ubisoft Massive.
In a new "Rainbow Six Siege" teaser, it was confirmed that the expansion will be called "Operation Red Crow" and will add a brand new location.
"Our fourth post-launch free map is perched high above the streets of Nagoya, Japan, set on top of The Skyscraper," a description of the 41-second clip reads.
The "Rainbow Six Siege: Operation Red Crow" DLC promises fans with some "pulse-pounding rappels in the hazy morning sun."
The teaser, however, only gave a peek of the buildings included in the new map, but the previous leak suggests that a couple of new characters will also be added—Echo and Hibana.
The leakster by the name Jon Kay also released footage from the upcoming "Rainbow Six Siege" DLC, where he claimed the addition of a Season 4 location, which should be Nagoya as shown in the official teaser, and the aforementioned two new operators.
The map appears to be identical to the ones showed in Ubisoft's teaser for "Operation Red Crow," which could mean that Echo and Hibana could also be the new operators set to be added via the upcoming "Rainbow Six Siege" DLC.
Complete details about the expansion pack complete with a demo will be revealed on Nov.12 and 13 at the "Rainbow Six Siege" Pro League semi-finals and finals, where Ubisoft will do a live panel.
Meanwhile, if another leak is to be believed, "Operation Red Crow" will not be the final DLC coming to "Rainbow Six Siege."
In a leaked survey held by Ubisoft about the game's feature, it inquired players on the type of content they would want to see in a "future season pass."
