'Prison Break' season 5 spoilers: Will Paul Kellerman be friend or foe?
Paul Kellerman (Paul Adelstein) will be back in "Prison Break" season 5 although how he is integrated into the story remains a mystery. Thankfully, the writers of the show gave a bit of a tease.
On Twitter, they revealed that "Paul will be around, but will he be helping or hurting? That is the question. You never know with that guy."
When the original series ended, Kellerman was a Congressman. He ran for president although it was not revealed if he won. It remains a mystery if this will be revealed in "Prison Break" season 5.
Kellerman has helped Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) and Michael (Wentworth Miller) multiple times in the original series, but it appears that this may not be the case in the revival, taking into account what the writers teased.
Fans are hoping to see if Kellerman was lucky enough to win the elections and if he will be a friend of a foe to the brothers. "Prison Break" season 5 makes this question all the more important seeing the situation of the duo.
Meanwhile, apart from Alexander Mahone (William Fichtner), who was dedicated to bringing Kellerman down, another character who will not be part of the action in "Prison Break" season 5 is Catherine Reynolds (Patricia Wettig).
The character, who, in the original series, devoted her energy to putting Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) behind bars for the "death" of his brother Michael (Wentworth Miller), may not be much of a presence in the series, but she did make an impression.
Although she is alive and well, she will not be part of "Prison Break" season 5 as per the writers of the show. "When we last saw her, she was alive. We won't see her this season," they revealed on Twitter.
This is likely because the storyline for the limited series does not require her presence. As the writers said in another tweet, "We brought back all the gang we needed for these nine episodes."
"Prison Break" season 5 will premiere spring next year on FOX.
