'Prison Break' season 5 spoilers news: Connection of Sara's new husband to Michael teased
Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) is alive in "Prison Break" season 5, and although he will be a free man soon, he might not have his old life back.
In the limited series, Sara Trancedi (Sarah Wayne Callies) is married to another man to be played by "Royal Pains" star, Mark Feuerstein.
When he was first introduced as a "Prison Break" season 5 cast member, the character's name was Scott Ness. It was changed to Jacob as the production went by.
Show creator Paul Scheuring first revealed the name change on Instagram. The writers of the show then acknowledged the slight tweak.
It is unknown as to why the name of Feuerstein's character had to be changed. In fact, the Jacob is one of the characters in "Prison Break" season 5 that is shrouded in mystery.
However, the writers gave a clue about the character. "I feel like you guys aren't gonna give Jacob a chance. It's not his fault he had to follow Michael Scofield," the writers teased in a tweet.
This suggests that Jacob will involve himself in Michael's dealings in "Prison Break" season 5. It remains to be seen if he will be a friend or a foe to him.
But the fact that his wife's former husband turned out alive and hopes to return to Sara suggests that Jacob and Michael will not get along.
In "Prison Break" season 5, Michael intends to survive and be reunited his family although he is not sure if he deserves it.
"Sara has moved on with her life to the best of her abilities. Michael, in a way, has not. He's been elsewhere for seven years, up to various things," the actor told TVLine.
"The question is when he gets there, will she even recognize him? Is he still the man that she fell in love with? Because he's been up to dark things and has walked some shady road so my question is... does Michael deserve a happy ending? Does he deserve that reunion with Sara?" Miller mused.
"Prison Break" season 5 premieres next year on Fox.
