'Prison Break' season 5 air date, updates: Michael Scofield revival story to be based on Odyssey
Rumors are rife that the comeback season of FOX's popular TV series "Prison Break" will follow Homer's "Odyssey." In the fifth season of the show, lead character Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) will attempt to break out of a prison in Yemen and make his way home to his son.
Like the lead character in Odyssey, the fifth season of the TV series will reintroduce a man who everyone thought was dead. Viewers will reportedly see a logical explanation behind Michael's death and disappearance. Similar to the Odyssey, the main character will be battling his way out of prison, and will attempt to be reunited with his son Mike (Christian Michael Cooper) and wife Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies).
Another important reunion that's bound to happen in the upcoming season is between Michael and his brother. Fans of the show will see Scofield reunited with his brother Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell).
According to reports, "Prison Break" season 5 will feature Burrows working with Sara and Michael's longtime friends to bust him out of Ogygia Prison in Yemen. The team is expected get Michael out of prison, but he won't enjoy the luxuries of a free man. The terrorist group that he used to work for will be hunting him down. It will not only put his life in danger, but his son's and his wife's as well. Rumor has it that Michael did something that the group didn't like, which is why he was dragged into the prison in Yemen.
Although FOX has confirmed the reboot of "Prison Break," the network has yet to respond to the recent allegations. Hence, fans of the TV series should treat the latest reports as speculation until proven otherwise.
