'Pokemon Sun and Moon' release date news: Japan gets first dibs at game launching in November? Bonus item included?

Gaming fans are counting the days until "Pokemon Sun and Moon" is officially released on November 18. However, gamers based in the United States might have to wait a tad longer before they get their hands on the game.

People have been in anticipation of the game ever since CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara announced back in February that the game will be released before the year ends. They said further details will be released by July 1, but until now, gamers are eager to know which areas the game will be distributed or rolled out first.

Fans will recall that "Pokémon GO" took time before it was released to other countries, so the same could be expected of "Pokémon Sun and Moon."

Currently, the official U.S. website for "Pokémon Sun and Moon" is as bare as it could get, revealing nothing to potential players. On the other hand, the Japanese version of the website is packed with updates about the game.

Checking the site out, fans will see that almost all information necessary for "Pokémon Sun and Moon" players to know are there on the Japanese website, including information about two more "Pokémon" games that will include special sets. The site even claims there will be two different versions of the game.

Apparently, there will be "Pokémon Sun," which will be so much different from "Pokémon Moon." With that said, it looks like each game will be headlined by two different Legendary Pokémons â€“ the Steel/Psychic-type Solgaleo for "Pokémon Sun," and the Ghost/Psychic-type Lunala for "Pokémon Moon." However, both will have the same set of starters – Pokémon, Litten, Rowlet, and Popplio.

Whatever the case may be, it looks like Japanese gamers will have first dibs on "Pokémon Sun and Moon," but surely, U.S. gamers will be given their break, too, perhaps a few days or weeks after the official release.

Meanwhile, IGN reports that those who will purchase "Pokémon Sun and Moon" before Jan. 11, 2017 will get a bonus Munchlax. Nevertheless, they will have to connect to the Internet first in order to collect a Munchlax that carries a special Snorlium Z item. Apparently, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company confirmed the news.

What will this bonus item do for players? It is said that when it evolves into Snorlax, it will have a special Z-move called Pulverizing Pancake, which cannot be used by any other Pokémons.

"Pokémon Sun and Moon" is hitting Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 18, so make sure to purchase the game then to avail of the bonus item.
