It's been nearly two months since Niantic Lab's media-hyped "Pokemon Go" became an instant sensation across the gaming world. Even as the numbers of active daily users suggest a decline, the augmented reality game still forces addicted players out from their homes to get a catch-em-all experience. With the rise of cheating apps and the proliferation of tricks to circumvent the rules of the game, Niantic implements a sweeping anti-cheat campaign. Still, players can still do some workaround without getting caught and even spawn rare Pokemon with tried-and-tested tricks.

To level up quickly without having to wait for eternity, players can put plump-bodied Pidgeys to good use. First, the avian Pokemon needs to evolve to its Pidgeotto form with only 12 candies needed. By evolving a Pokemon, a player earns 500 experience points (XP). A player's XP would double by activating a Lucky Egg. Per BitBag report, a player can amass XP by catching many Pidgeys and activating a Lucky Egg to evolve all of them. Also, if a player activates a Lucky Egg and Incense together, a rare Pokemon will pop up nearby which the gamer can catch to garner double XP. The trick is pretty much useful when player is just starting to level up. A regular Pokemon catch is worth 500 XP. With the activation of the Lucky Egg, that figure rises to 1, 000 XP for every new creature caught.

Another helpful trick to learn for starters is hatching eggs. The process can be extremely time-consuming and complicated. For those who are not used to persevering, this can definitely test one's patience. Moreover, hatching eggs can be frustrating since eggs only hatch common Pokemon most of the time. Per Science World Report, to hatch rare Pokemon, one has to hatch eggs on a regular basis when not walking. It would be of great advantage if players have extra incubators to make this trick really work.

Meanwhile, a recent update from BGR reveals that Niantic is intensifying its ongoing efforts to purge the "Pokemon Go" system of players who are using third-party apps and other black-hat tricks at other gamers' expense. The developer is reportedly working on a new captcha feature to filter "bots" and other app-based tools from circumventing the rules of the game.
