Several weeks after the massive hit mobile gaming app "Pokemon Go" was released, there have been reports that the appeal of the game to the general public is plummeting. Still, Niantic's latest augmented reality (AR) mobile game has still captured the interest of millions of players worldwide, amassing a total of 40 million daily active users during its peak. To keep the the game's momentum, Niantic is expected to introduce new contents in the game which will arrive in the next updates. It is very likely that Niantic will now include all the pocket monsters in the original series' Generation 2 Pokemon.

According to Yibada, the Generation 2 update for "Pokemon Go" will arrive very soon. The new Pokemon will be listed in the Pokedex with the upcoming updates slated for the mobile app. Some of the new Pokemon included in the "Pokemon Go" Generation 2 update are the next evolutions of Golbat, Gloom, Poliwhirl, Slowpoke, Onix, Chansey, Seadra, Scyther, Eevee and Porygon. The next stage of these Pokemon are not yet included in the current version of "Pokemon Go."

After the Generation 2 update, the new evolved Pokemon such as Crobat, Bellossom, Politoed, Slowking, Steelix, Blissey, Kingdra, Scizor, Espeon, Umbreon and Porygon 2 will be introduced.

If the latest rumors are anything to go by, the abovementioned Pokemon are just a part of the 100 new Pokemon that are going to be introduced in the Generation 2 update. There are also more than 86 new Pokemon moves that will be added in the game. In total, there are 251 additional Pokemon in the second generation of pocket monsters, according to Ranked Boost.

The all-new Pokemon that may also grace "Pokemon Go" in the coming updates are Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Sentret, Hoothoot, Ledyba, Spinarak, Chinchoi, Pichu, Togepo and Marill. These Pokemon are already present in previous Pokemon games such as "Pokemon Gold" and "Pokemon Silver."

Meanwhile, according to The BitBag, Legendary Pokemon may finally arrive in "Pokemon Go." There are many legendary pocket monsters in the original series which may be included in the gaming app, although Niantic may be saving them for last to further capture the interest of the players.
