"Pokémon Go" made a sudden boom in the public eye since it was released, but Niantic has reported that now, the game has already lost one-third of its users. Sure enough, people will get smart and will be harder to fool into exercising, but data miners have found that a recent update will allow players to choose any of their Pokémon to "walk" alongside their avatars in the game.

According to a report, data miners have found out that players who opt to walk their Pokémon will reportedly earn Pokémon candies in the process. The actions of the chosen Pokémon when they are traveling alongside the player's avatar will also vary depending on the species. Some will choose to fly or walk beside their trainer, and others can even perch on top of trainer's shoulder.

There haven't been any details released on how much candy can be received when players choose to walk their Pokémon, but it is sure to pull some more players into the game. To those who are unfamiliar with the game mechanics, Pokémon candies are necessary for evolving Pokémon.

Perhaps the "walk" option has been added as a way to get more regional players back into the game. A huge amount of reported cheaters has been from areas that are less populated. The small number of Pokémon that spawn around their area has opted some players to fake their GPS in order to capture Pokémon that isn't available in the place where they are.

Niantic has also gotten much stricter when it comes to cheaters, and they have reportedly been terminating accounts of anyone who wants to win at the game without making any good effort. This goes to show that cheaters never win.

When asked about the walk option, Niantic declined to comment.

"Pokémon Go" is available for Android and iOS users.
