A massive "Pokemon Go" update is slated to launch with the second generation phase of the game. Though there are no official announcements from video game developer Niantic, many believe that the upcoming update will make the game even more interesting than it already is.

According to reports, the fire-type Pokemon have been well-favored among all the types of creatures available. Since this particular type doesn't particularly do well in gym battles, iTechTimes reports that upgrading the Pokemon listed under this type seems like a good option.

On the other hand, the news outlet claims that it is an unlikely chance because it will still be easily defeated by the water-type Pokemon. Though the publication doesn't offer possible solutions, like many gamers, they believe that Niantic will find a way to bring balance to the game.

Since water-type Pokemon have fared well in the original "Pokemon Go" game, rumor has it that the second upgrade won't be featuring significant updates to this particular type. Furthermore, grass-type Pokemon will reportedly be dominating generation 2; hence, water-type creatures won't be able to win that easily once the update launches.

Other features that will reportedly come with the update are the legendary Pokemon, the new buddy system, a new Incense type, and a new trading system. Reports say that the generation two update will include at least 100 new Pokemon which will have 86 new moves.

According to the latest reports, five legendary Pokemon that are rumored to appear in generation 2 will actually be from the first generation of Pokemon. If the rumors are true, the icy Articuno, the fiery Moltres, the electric Zapdos, Mewtwo, and Mew will make an appearance in the franchise when the update drops.

Since Niantic has yet to confirm the latest speculations, fans of the franchise should treat these as speculation until proven otherwise.
