PlayStation Plus October 2016 free games list rumors update: AAA titles could be included in lineup

PlayStation Plus has yet to announce its official lineup of titles for October and speculations already abound about a possible triple-A title being included in the list.

September is about to end and PlayStation Plus should be announcing its October 2016 free games soon. The anticipation is making members of PlayStation's subscription service speculate on a number of titles that may be included in the upcoming month's roster.

"Watch Dogs" is an ideal title to include in the lineup since its sequel, "Watch Dogs 2," is about to be released in a few months. Offering the first installment as a free game for October may help build the hype for the upcoming second installment and inspire more players to get into the third person shooter game.

The lineup may also include "Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag," which has recently been offered as part of the Xbox Games with Gold free titles. PlayStation 4 gamers should also be able to get this action-adventure game for free. The installment was released in 2013 and received high acclaim from both critics and gamers.

"Fallout 4" is another title that gamers hope will be included in next month's free lineup. This is an action role-playing game set in post-apocalyptic Boston in the year 2287, two centuries after the world has been devastated by a nuclear war. The game was released to positive reviews for its overall content and soundtrack.

Other speculations for the PlayStation Plus October 2016 free games list include "Killzone: Shadow Fall," "Knack" and "Nights of the Azure." Since the PlayStation 4 Slim has just been released and the PlayStation 4 Pro is on its way, gamers believe that it's ideal for Sony to release free titles that can attract new subscribers to the PlayStation Plus service.

PlayStation Plus free games are usually announced at the beginning of the month. Subscribers need not wait long before the official list of October 2016 free games are finally released.
