The fifth film of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" series will finally be released six years after "On Stranger Tides" premiered in 2011. The passing time did not seem to have any effect on Jack Sparrow's (Johnny Depp) luck, though, because the upcoming movie will have yet another supernatural creature chasing after him.

The latest trailer for the fifth "Pirates of the Caribbean" film shows the eccentric pirate being pursued by the undead Captain Armando Salazar (Javier Bardem). It seems that he and his crew used to hunt down pirates until they met their untimely death when they crossed the Devil's Triangle as they were pursuing a young Jack Sparrow, portrayed by a CGI version of Depp.

Their first agenda upon rising from the dead and escaping their watery prison is to seek vengeance against the pirate who they believed caused their demise. In order to escape from his pursuers, Jack must find the Trident of Poseidon, which will give him absolute power over the seas and allow him to defeat Salazar's undead crew.

Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) will also be returning in the film. His storyline picks up from where the third "Pirates of the Caribbean" left off, with him being cursed as the successor of Davey Jones. Keira Knightley, who played Elizabeth Swann, will not be returning for the fifth film of the franchise. However, Geoffrey Rush will reprise his role as Captain Barbossa, but it is unclear yet how the sometime enemy of Jack Sparrow will affect the events of the film.

Joining the cast is Kaya Scoledario, who will be playing Carina Smyth, an astronomer who will help Jack Sparrow find the Trident of Poseidon. Brenton Thwaites is also new to the film, and he will be playing Henry, a sailor of the Royal Navy and Will's son, who is out to save his father. Sir Paul McCartney of The Beatles is also part of the cast playing an undisclosed role.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" will premiere on May 26.
