Philadelphia 76ers trade rumors: Noel now linked to Western Conference powerhouse
At the moment, the Philadelphia 76ers are still looking to strengthen the squad and they are again involved in another trade rumor.
As always, it is regarding the logjam on the center position. However, it seems that Nerlens Noel is now being linked to a Western Conference juggernaut as the Golden State Warriors are rumored to be interested in his services. The talks claim that Noel may be moving to the Bay Area. In return, the Sixers will pick up veteran poing guard Shaun Livingston.
If true, this may definitely work out for both parties as Noel is one of the three big men in the Sixers' line-up that desperately need more playing time to grow.
With Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor eating up minutes along with Noel, the three are in danger of being unable to fulfill their potential.
This means that moving one, or even two, is the best way to go in terms of letting them develop to become the stars they are supposed to be.
If Noel ends up with the Warriors, it would be a great deal for him. He will be thrust into the spotlight as part of one of the best teams in the league and possibly win the championship by the end of the season.
It gives Noel the chance to play with the best in the world to develop his skills, and the Warriors get a young and reliable center who does not need the ball in his hands at all times.
If Noel joins the Warriors, it would strengthen their interior defense and add to their depth. Noel can play extended minutes since he is still young.
For the Sixers, they will get rid of their problem in the center position and get a veteran point guard who can help the team improve the pool of talents they currently have.
It should be interesting to see how this rumor will evolve and whether Noel's future has the Warriors in it.
