'Persona 5' DLC news: Atlus teases upcoming DLCs featuring costumes based on Vincent from 'Catherine' and others
Months from its scheduled release date, "Persona 5" has continuously been whetting gamers' appetite for it by announcing multiple downloadable content (DLC) packs that will be made available shortly after the social simulation role-playing game (RPG) is officially launched.
The title was already released in Japan and China late last year, and it was supposed to be released in North America and Europe early this year. However, the release has reportedly been pushed back to April, owing to the addition of features such as dual-audio and other polishing enhancements to both appearances and gameplay.
Despite the delay, game publisher Atlus U.S.A. has been making sure that updates about the upcoming game are not lacking by previewing some of the exciting DLC packs that players of the game can expect to have later this year.
One DLC that is already available in Japan, which other gamers are hoping will also graze the Western release, comes with costumes based on Vincent and Catherine from "Catherine," the romantic horror puzzle game that debuted back in 2011. While the Vincent costume has recently been confirmed by Atlus via their official Twitter account, a direct announcement is yet to be made regarding the potential release of a costume based on Catherine herself.
Other DLCs that Western gamers can look forward to include the Yasogami High School uniforms and a "Dancing All Night" costume from "Persona 4," the "Shin Megami Tensei IV" costume, and the Raidou Kuzunoha outfits from the "Devil Summoner" series.
Atlus has also been sharing some Confidant trailers like "Izanagi & Izanagi Picaro," "Thanatos and Thanatos Picaro," and "Orpheus and Orpheus Picaro." PlayStationLifeStyle.net has listed down the announced DLCs and Confidant trailers with links to the accompanying media. This list will be updated as Atlus releases more teasers and sneak peeks featuring upcoming DLC updates.
"Persona 5" will officially be released for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe on April 7, and it is already available for pre-order from various online merchants via the game's official website. Pricing and the release schedule for the subsequent DLCs will be announced at a later date.
