"Fast and Furious" star Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto) has revealed how he turned from a tough screen hero into an emotional wreck when he posted on his Facebook a video to commemorate the birthday of his co-star and dear friend Paul Walker who died in a fiery car crash last year.

The video, captioned "One year ago today...Honoring our Brother," showed the cast and crew of "Fast and Furious 7" gathering and singing a "Happy Birthday" song.

The undated video showed Walker climbing up the stairs to blow the candles while being videotaped by another co-star Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce in the film series). He then went down to hug Diesel and once again sang the birthday song.

The video ended with a layover text that read "Miss you Pablo."

Walker would have turned 41 last Sept.12. He died in a fiery car crash in Valencia, California, on Nov. 30, 2013.

Diesel's Facebook post has garnered more than a million likes, nearly 100,000 shares, and numerous comments collectively saying "Happy Birthday" and "We Missed You, Paul."

In the video, Diesel wrote about his reaction after learning about the death of his co-star and bossom buddy. "When I heard, I immediately flew back to California, and went directly from the plane to his mother's house," he said.

"I thought they needed my strength, but realized when I got there and broke down before his family, that it was I who needed theirs. His mother hugged me and said I am so sorry... I say sorry? You're the mother who lost a son?...She said yes, but you lost your other half..." Diesel said.

Walker's daughter, Meadow, also honored his father's memory by posting her photo when she was still a little girl together with him on Instagram on Sept. 12.

Walker's brother, Cody, also took to social media to remember the beloved actor. "To my oldest brother, Paul Walker on his birthday: This day is a bittersweet one," Cody wrote on his Facebook page.

"Today I'm reminded how much I miss you. But at the same time, this day is also a reminder of how many years of memories, adventures, lessons and love I was lucky enough to share with you.

"Today is a celebration of all of those years. I always knew you were a pretty awesome brother, but these last months have shown me how awesome of an example you were for the entire world. Thank you for always and for continuing to be the best role model a brother could ask for. Happy Birthday, bro. I love and miss you."

Filming of "Fast and Furious 7" screeched to a halt after Walker, playing the role of Brian O'Conner in the series, died in a car crash on Thanksgiving day last year. Instead of cancelling or revising the movie from the beginning, Universal Pictures and the film makers decided to rewrite Walker's part in the story, ending his character by having it "retired instead of killed."

The studio hired Walker's brothers, Caleb and Cody, as stand-ins for the re-shooting.

The movie is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 10, 2015.
