Pangu iOS 10 Jailbreak release date news: Software finally to land in December?
After a long wait, the iOS 10 jailbreak by Chinese jailbreak development team Pangu may finally arrive next month if the latest reports are to be believed.
According to rumors, Pangu is waiting for Apple to come out with the iOS 10.2, with the third version of the beta having just been released.
The final version of the iOS 10.2 should come out by the end of the month. That way, Apple will reportedly have no time to add tweaks and make changes to the software, allowing the team to stitch together a working iOS 10 jailbreak.
Pangu will reportedly be able to complete the software in time for Christmas. However, with no official word about it yet, users are advised to take this with a grain of salt.
Pangu has been silent about the project since it announced the iOS 10 jailbreak back in July at the Mobile Security Conference (MOSEC).
There, the group showed off a working jailbreak tool for the beta version of the iOS 10. Of course, with everything that Apple has implemented ever since.
Apple has been adding tweaks on its firmware to specifically fend off jailbreak software installed on an iOS device. The Cupertino-based tech giant has gotten far more serious when it comes to security.
This is reportedly the reason jailbreaking has become a challenge to developers and why Pangu has had a hard time and a long time to come up with a working iOS 10 jailbreak.
There are worries that Apple's efforts to stop jailbreaking for good got the best of Pangu, which is why the iOS 10 jailbreak is not here.
However, with the likes of developer Luca Todesco and another one by the name ijapija00 managing to jailbreak the iOS 10 updates (although choosing not to release their exploits for various reasons), it appears that jailbreaking is still possible.
