'Overwatch: Origins Edition' release date, news and updates: Game will be on sale until Nov. 28
Following the "Free Weekend" event for 'Overwatch," Blizzard is now going on a Black Friday sale, and they are offering a huge discount for "Overwatch: Origins Edition" to all their eager fans for a limited time only.
According to the official "Overwatch" blog, the game will be offered at 40 percent off the original retail price. The "Origins Edition" of the game originally came with a price tag of $59.99, but with the sale in effect, fans can now buy the game for $34.99. This is even lower than the standard copy of "Overwatch" which is worth $39.99.
Fans who want to cash in on the sale better do it sooner rather than later, because the offer will only last until Monday, Nov. 28. The offer is available for anybody playing "Overwatch" on Windows PC, Xbox One or Playstation 4. Anyone who wants to purchase a copy should go to www.buyoverwatch.com.
As for the content of the "Origins Edition," new skins will be available for heroes, and they will hint at their "origins." For Soldier76, he will come with the Strike-Commander Morrison Skin which will feature a blonde soldier back in the early days of Overwatch.
Turret droid Bastion will also come with the Overgrown Bastion skin which will be covered in grass and rust. Reaper will have the Blackwatch Reyes skin, making the character look more human than he does now. Pharah will have a skin that will look like an older model of her current jumpsuit, and it's called Security Chief Pharah.
The game's cover girl Tracer will also come with a skin called Slipstream Tracer.
The package also will come with extra "Overwatch"-related items for other Blizzard games like "Diablo III," "Starcraft II," "HearthStone," "World of Warcraft," and "Heroes of the Storm."
