The month of October has already set in. For some people, it means that it is time to prepare for the Halloween season. Blizzard Entertainment is among those who are expected to have a Halloween-themed update in the coming days for their current game titles, including the hit first-person shooter video game "Overwatch." According to the latest reports, a Halloween-based downloadable content pack (DLC) will arrive soon.
As reported by Yibada, there are now rumors regarding the contents of the Halloween update. A Reddit user known as "The FunyunKnight" recently leaked several audio files that are said to be included in the upcoming Halloween events for "Overwatch." .
Likewise, several art designs for "Overwatch" characters donning their new Halloween costumes are posed online. Some of the artworks could be fan-made, but they are nevertheless interesting and suited for the upcoming Halloween. Characters such as Genji, McCree, Zenyata and Reaper have their own Halloween look, with Genji wearing a tuxedo, top hat and a cain as a magician. McCree is seen wearing a Musketeer outfit in the artworks, while Zenyata is dressed up as ghost with eight flying pumpkins and Reaper becomes a Jack o'Lantern/Headless Horseman character, iDigital Times reported.
It should be noted that Blizzard has no announcement yet regarding the Halloween theme and events for "Overwatch" this month.
Meanwhile, it has long been rumored that the mysterious character Sombra will finally be playable and become an official part of "Overwatch" roster in the coming weeks. According to iTech Post, it is possible that Sombra will be introduced in the upcoming Blizzcon 2016. The said event will be held on Nov. 4. The said character was already mentioned in the base game, although Sombra was never introduced as an important part of the gameplay. There were hints that Sombra will finally join the roster this month, but this is still not confirmed as Blizzard has no confirmation about the next DLC update.
