'Orange Is the New Black' season 5 news, spoilers: Will Ruby Rose reprise her character? More deaths and riots ahead in 5th installment?

Fans could expect more riots and deaths happening in the fifth installment of Netflix's "Orange Is the New Black." At least, that's what recent spoilers for the show reveal.

The fourth season of "OITNB" ended with Daya (Dascha Polanco), having a determined look on her face, aiming a gun at CO Humphrey (Michael Torpey). It was a cliffhanger of a finale, as it was never shown whether she pulled the trigger or not. However, it would take a while before fans find out what happened, as the fifth season won't be airing until June 2017.

Now, there are reports that the upcoming installment would feature more riots and deaths. Does that mean Daya would pull the trigger after all? It remains to be seen, but as per Sportsrageous' report, a series of deaths would ensue in "Orange Is the New Black" season 5 following the continuing "Black Lives Matter" movement. Apparently, extreme discrimination should be expected from upcoming episodes of "OITNB" if the production fails to pursue such plot.

Meanwhile, fans of Australian actress and model Ruby Rose are hoping that she would be able to make it to the cast of "Orange Is the New Black" season 5 despite her busy schedule.

It would be recalled that in season 3, Stella was hauled off to maximum security after a stash of drugs were found in her bunk. Her then lover, Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), planted the drugs in her possession. In season 4, Rose made a 30-second appearance that sparked the hopes of her fans that perhaps, she would make a comeback in season 5. Her character, Stella Carlin, was last seen talking to Nicky (Natasha Lyonne) who cut her ties with Stella after discovering she was still into drugs.

There's no confirmation as to Rose's inclusion in the upcoming season of the Netflix series especially since she's busy with other projects. The Hollywood Reporter said she is in talks to star as Jaxx in Jason Statham's sci-fi movie "Meg."

Rose likewise has three upcoming movies for 2017, including "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage" with Vin Diesel coming out in January, "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" with Milla Jovovich that's hitting cinemas in Jan. 27, and "John Wick 2" with Keanu Reeves that will be released in Feb. 16.

"Orange Is the New Black" season 5 is expected to return in June 2017. In the meantime, stay tuned for more news and updates about the series.
