OnePlus 4 release date, specs news & update: OnePlus 4 to launch mid-2017, after OnePlus 3S
Though the OnePlus 4 isn't expected to launch anytime soon, many tech enthusiasts are looking forward to the rumored smartphone from the China-based manufacturer. Several reports have made their rounds on the internet, claiming the existence of the OnePlus 4. Rumor has it, the OnePlus 4 will launch after the OnePlus 3S.
According to recent reports, the company will most likely produce the OnePlus 3S and OnePlus 3 Plus before the OnePlus 4. On the other hand, there are already several reports speculating on the possible hardware and software for the alleged OnePlus 4.
OnePlus is known for producing a high-end gadget and selling it at a rather reasonable price. The OnePlus 3, for example, has a large RAM worth 6 GB. Even with its sleek design and top-tier features, the smartphone is only being sold for $399.
The company will reportedly launch an upgraded OnePlus 3 unit early next year. To give the forthcoming unit ample time to sell, reports claim that the company will not unveil the next smartphone until June 2017.
According to reports, the OnePlus 4 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 830, which is expected to have an even bigger RAM than its preceding unit. Rumor has it that the device will come with 8 GB worth of RAM. Furthermore, several size variants for internal storage will reportedly be available. Reports say that the OnePlus 4 will have at least 32 GB, but will be available in bigger storage capacities than can reach up to 256 GB.
Furthermore, reports say that the OnePlus 4 will carry the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. It will introduce new security features such as a fingerprint scanner, and it will have long-lasting battery life which will also have a fast charging feature.
Since OnePlus has yet to confirm the latest allegations, tech junkies should treat the reports as speculation until proven otherwise.
If the rumors are true, OnePlus could launch the OnePlus 4 mid-year in 2017. Moreover, the device would reportedly cost at least $400.
