OnePlus 4 release date, specs news: OnePlus 'flagship killer' to boast 4K OLED screen, to be released early 2017?
The OnePlus 3, which was released this year, is known to boast very powerful specs but still has an affordable price compared to the top smartphone labels today. Many tech enthusiasts are impressed by the latest OnePlus handset, but the next iteration of the smartphone may be the ultimate "flagship killer" as other people call it.
According to the latest rumors, the OnePlus 4 will be a formidable rival to the newly released iPhone 7. As early as now, there are speculations regarding the next set of features that the OnePlus smartphone will have. The OnePlus 4 is expected to come with 8 GB RAM and a powerful Snapdragon 830 processor. Upon its release, the OnePlus 4 will be sporting the new Android 7.0 Nougat operating system (OS).
The camera features of the smartphone will be much more impressive than its predecessors, and may even surpass the features of the brand new camera phones today. It is expected to have 23 MP rear camera, a great leap compared to OnePlus 3's 16 MP camera feature. The Bitbag reported that its front camera will boast 8 MP with Sony's sensor integration.
However, what makes the OnePlus 4 a flagship killer is its impressive screen features. If the latest rumors are anything to go by, the OnePlus 4 may be among the first special handsets in 2017 to sport a 4K resolution with an Optic OLED screen. It is expected to have a 5.5-inch diagonal screen with a body made of aluminum. If a 4K OLED touch screen is not enough, the OnePlus 4 is also rumored to use the latest 3D technology in smartphones.
The exact release date of the OnePlus 4 is still uncertain, but according to Gospel Herald, the smartphone will be out sometime in 2017. Moreover, it is rumored to arrive in the April to May period. Depending on the variant of the OnePlus 4, it is expected to cost around $300 to $400, still keeping its affordability in spite of its top-of-the-line features.
