Fans will not have any more reasons to worry about not seeing Saitama in the small screen again because "One Punch Man" season 2 is now official.

The return of the superhero was announced at the "One Punch Man" Fall Festival where fans, as well as the cast of the anime, gathered to celebrate the hero.

Details about "One Punch Man" season 2 are scarce at the moment with the release date still unknown. However, Japan Today believes that new episodes won't arrive until next year.

The site believes that the fall television programming in Japan (lasting more than three months) all set prior to the announcement suggests that the anime won't premiere this year.

"One Punch Man" season 2 will likely land in Japan early next year. This is the earliest possible time. However, with no word from Madhouse Entertainment yet, fans will just have to wait.

Apart from the renewal, a "One Punch Man" mobile game was also announced. No information has been revealed either except that Ourpalm Co. Ltd will handle the development.

There are rumors that "One Punch Man" season 2 will come with 19 episodes, much longer than the first one, which only had a dozen.

This means that more material will be needed to complete these installments although the ongoing manga series by ONE and Yusuke Murata will make that happen.

With regards to the plot, "One Punch Man" season 2 is expected to feature a crop of much stronger enemies. Saitama breezed through the enemies from this season, thanks to his extraordinary strength.

This might not be the case in "One Punch Man" season 2 as he will reportedly meet his most challenging foe yet—Garou, who is the only known enemy at the moment that could handle the hero's punch.

However, nothing is official yet plot-wise so fans will have to wait for Madhouse's word to know what the new season holds for everyone's favorite bald hero.
