'One Punch Man season 2 release date, spoilers: anime to premiere October 2017?
Back in September, "One Punch Man" season 2 was officially announced. However, a specific release date is yet to be designated.
The announcement was about the project being in active production. The new season is said to be released along with a "One Punch Man" mobile game next year.
This suggests that "One Punch Man" season 2 will premiere sometime next year. When exactly is anybody's guess at the moment.
Japan's network programming sheds a light on that though. Every three months, there is a new lineup of shows to expect. There will be four seasons in a year premiering January, April, July and October.
It is unlikely for "One Punch Man" season 2 to arrive in January as there is already a lineup for the season and the show is not included.
An October premiere is more probable as this was the same month in 2015 that the manga adaptation first hit the television screens in Japan.
When "One Punch Man" season 2 was made official, Makoto Furukawa, the voice actor of the hero for fun Saitama, said that he has been "anxious for a long time" for it.
Kaito Ishikawa, who provides the voice of the bald hero's friend and student Genos, said that he is thankful for the support of fans to the "One Punch Man" anime and their positive reception about the renewal.
"One Punch Man" is already a huge success in the manga scene, thanks to the team-up of ONE and Yusuke Murata, who also help in the production of the anime. The anime was a hit when it first came out so many are happy a second season is happening.
At the moment, it looks like fans will just have to wait for official word. Madhouse Entertainment has promised to reveal more information about "One Punch Man" season 2 in the future.
With regard to the story, the new season is likely to pick up from where it left off. Manga readers should have a good idea of what it entails since the anime follows the source material to the letter.
