'One Piece' chapters 846, 847 spoilers: Big Mama promises to spare Straw Hats; Pedro, Brook to undertake life-threatening thievery
What Big Mama says, Big Mama does. So when Sanji asks the matriarch of the Charlotte family for a favor, Luffy and Nami's lives are spared.
But while "One Piece" chapter 846 titled "Egg Defense" presented a clean-cut way for Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat crew on Whole Cake Island to leave in one piece, this only showed one side of the story. After refusing to leave the spot where he vowed to stay and go on a hunger strike until Sanji came back, Luffy doesn't seem like the kind of guy who will take well to an arrangement that sends them away without Sanji by his side.
Luffy and Nami were taken alive after Big Mama's Army of Rage defeated them. Nami's Vivre Card, which was a gift from their friend Lola, was also taken. Being at such a disadvantage, will Luffy finally relent and turn away from Sanji, who has clearly made his choice to stay? Or will the arrival of Brook and Pedro, although with a different agenda, give the Straw Hat Captain fresh impetus to fight again?
Picking up from where the previous chapter left off, "One Piece" chapter 847 is speculated to show more of Brook and Pedro's plan to steal the Road Poneglyphs that are said to map out the path toward becoming the pirate king.
Rumors are going around that this particular twist in the story could be introducing a brand new arc to the ongoing Yongko saga. Will they be able to succeed in a daring heist against Big Mama's strongest security detail? And how will their part of the story ultimately affect Luffy's quest to take his friend Sanji back?
Another storyline that has not been revisited for quite awhile are Chopper and Carrot in Brûlée's Mirror World. With only a few hours left before Sanji gets permanently tied down, will Luffy regain consciousness in time to make one final stand for his friend? Or will an unexpected deal be struck between the Straw Hats and the Charlottes regarding the Poneglyphs?
"One Piece" is a long-running manga series created by Eiichiro Oda, with new chapters published on the "Weekly Shounen Jump" magazine.
