'Once Upon A Time' season 6 news: Will series end with Emma's death?
Is the death of the Savior, Emma (Jennifer Morrison), inevitable, and will this really spell the end for ABC's fairy tale-inspired series, "Once Upon a Time"?
With the pieces of the puzzle leading up to Emma's eventual death gradually coming together, it seems like it's just a matter of time before Storybrooke's Savior meets her end. But will the revelation of the hooded figure's identity play a role in reversing Emma's fate? Can Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle) and Belle (Emilie de Ravin) stop their son Gideon (Giles Matthey) from fulfilling his destiny as the Savior's killer?
Since her existence has already been mentioned in the "Once Upon a Time's" midseason finale, fans have also been speculating that the Black Fairy, who turns out to be Mr. Gold's mother and the one who took his son Gideon away, will finally be cast when the show returns in March. With the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) now a caged snake, will the Black Fairy consequently become the show's next big bad?
Another cause of concern for fans of the show is the sleeping curse that Mary Margaret (Ginnifer Goodwin) and David (Josh Dallas) are currently suffering from. Series co-creator Eddy Kitsis told TV Line in answer to a fan question that the curse is not something that will last for the entire back half of the season. However, the longer it stays, the deeper its effect will be on David, as he chooses to deprive himself of sleep instead of waking his wife up, and thus see more manifestations of the darkness he is afraid he has inside him.
"Without his 'calming center' around, and without much sleep, he can get into some real trouble!" Kitsis added.
Additionally, series co-creator Adam Horowitz also teased during a "Hot Seat" interview with Entertainment Weekly that Killian (Colin O'Donoghue), or an alternate version of him, will be making an appearance in the Wish Realm the same way that Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) did.
Even though a true love's kiss from him may not work to bring Emma back to Storybrooke, because there are, apparently, no curses in the Wish Realm, Kitsis teased in another interview with Entertainment Weekly that Kilian and Emma's encounter is his "100 percent favorite moment in the spring premiere."
"Once Upon a Time" season 6B returns to ABC sometime in March 2017.
