Once Upon a Time Season 4 Spoilers: Elsa Turns Storybrooke Into a Frozen Town
The premiere episode of Once Upon a Time Season 4 entitled "A Tale of Two Sisters" finally aired on September 28, and the episode introduced several characters from the popular Disney movie Frozen. The main cast of Season 3, Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and Killian "Hook" Jones's (Colin O'Donoghue), who time traveled in the third season finale, had to deal with the new characters.
The season began with a lot of drama and a heavy dose of Frozen, but it gained many positive views from viewers. The next episode, entitled "White Out", gives us an idea that Storybrooke is to become more frozen than it already is. Things will get even more interesting with the presence of Elsa, as seen in the episode preview.
Elsa will be turning the town into ice completely and demand that she finds her sister. She may appear like a villain by her initial introduction, but that does not make her evil, and fans will come to find out more about her and her motivations as the season moves on.
Rumor has it that a friendship will be made between Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) and Elsa (Georgina Haig). However, Elsa is still dealing with powers she find difficult to control, always ending up hurting people unintentionally.
According to Haig, "Elsa is very confused and makes friends with Emma. They bond over the fact that they both can't control their magic. But she's still dealing with a lot of the problems that she was dealing with in Frozen. She can't control her powers and ends up hurting people without meaning to."
Regarding the Swan's relationship with Killian "Hook" Jones (played by Collin O'Donoghue), Morrison commented, "They've been on great adventures and they've traveled through worlds, they've traveled through time. He's given up his ship for her, he's proven that he's someone who really continues to show up for her. Like Emma, he's made some mistakes in life, some terrible mistakes in life, and has worked very hard to redeem them."
"I think she relates to the fact that she's also made mistakes in her life and she's worked very hard to redeem them. So they do have that in common. She believes in that part of him the same way she believes in that part of herself. So there is definitely an openness to her when they do finally decide to go on this date," she further added.
The next episode of Once Upon a Time Season 4 will air on Sunday, 8 p.m. on ABC.
