Despite already sitting out on the rest of the NBA Playoffs after being eliminated by the Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant will have his ninth signature shoe with Nike set to release.

Aptly named KD 9, this colorway is labeled as "Wolf/Grey" or "Grey/Multicolor" and is set to be realeased to the public on June 20.

Also nicknamed "Pre-Heat," Foot Locker confirmed the release of the shoes on its site, expecting it to be one of the most sought-after releases this month.

Many have raved about the shoe's technology and amazing price point, closing the gap with technology, performance and cost-efficiency.

Durant has already been seen rocking this colorway back in the playoffs and many professional shoe reviewers have good things to say about the shoe.

The shoe consists of lightweight Flyknit material which will make its first appearance on a KD shoe. This will give the pair a snug fit and a one-to-one fit that will make sure the shoe moves with the feet.

And despite only featuring the Flyknit technology now, KD will be the first to have his signature shoe fitted with Nike's new cushioning technology.

It's a tapered zoom unit, called Max Zoom. As seen on the bottom of the pair, the zoom bags are heavily articulated and very independent with one another.

This means that the forefoot will be separate with the midfoot cushioning. This allows flexibility across all steps and ensures protection and cushioning across the whole foot.

On the outsole, the shoe has a honeycomb traction that should provide complete grip on the floor.

However, the best thing about this pair is the price, which is set at only $150. The affordability is credited to the fact that Nike has been getting stiff competition with other brands that have a lot of technology for a very low price point.

Now with the KD 9, supporters will get a lot of the top tech Nike has for a relatively low price point.

Knowing Nike and the KD line, expect more colorways to come out but this should be one of the more anticipated releases.
