The Motorola Nexus 6 was released for pre-orders on Wednesday, Oct. 29, and is now completely sold out.

The Nexus 6 completely sold out its units after being made available for pre-order, according to Google Play Store's announcement on their site.

The Motorola Nexus 6 is co-developed by Google and Motorola. It has improved features including the Android 5.0 Lollipop, which provides the phone with a fresher user interface; Project Volta, which improves battery performance for longer usage; Android Runtime, which helps with faster and smoother use of apps; and an OpenGL ES 3.1 for improved graphics and photography features.

It also has a fingerprint sensor for the phone's security, different camera apps for a variety of image captures and video recording, and S Health which tracks the user's fitness and lifestyle.

Nexus 6 also has a 5.9-inch QHD screen, 2.7 GHz quad-core processor, dual front-facing speakers and a 13MP camera. It has been made available to other network carriers such as AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon Wireless.

Samsung Galaxy S5 on the other hand, which was released in the market earlier this month, has completely different features that could attract different consumers. Those who seek features different from the Nexus 6 could find them in Samsung's latest flagship smartphone.

The Galaxy S5 is smaller with its 5.1 inch screen compared to Nexus 6's 5.9inches. The Galaxy S5 also uses the Super AMOLED display which allows a pixel resolution of 1080 x 1920, more than Nexus 6's quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2560. Galaxy S5 also has a 16-megapixel rear shooter, compared to the 13-megapixel rear camera of the Nexus 6.

The Galaxy S5 is encased in a simple plastic exterior with a matte finish, is lighter than the Nexus 6 at only 145g, has a 2GB memory and a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor and packed with a 2800 mAH battery that allows a longer battery life.

As for pricing, the Nexus 6 hits stores at a price of $649 while Galaxy S4 is being sold for $509.
