'New Girl' season 6 episode 7 spoilers: Thanksgiving will be disastrous; Christmas episode to see return of Reagan?

It is shaping up to be a very eventful final few episodes for "New Girl" before the midseason finale rolls around. Things could ultimately culminate into one memorable Christmas surprise for Jess (Zooey Deschanel).

As the press release for episode 7 of "New Girl" season 6 states, the gang will be preparing for what they hoped is going to be a festive Thanksgiving dinner. The unexpected appearances of two guests could potentially send things sideways.

Schmidt's dad (Peter Gallagher) will suddenly show up with a broken heart that may dampen everybody's Thanksgiving spirit, while Robby (Nelson Franklin) will also appear after things didn't work out so well between him and Jess in the previous episode. Nick (Jake Johnson) won't probably be in a very festive mood either when he finds out that his long-distance girlfriend Reagan (Megan Fox) has just postponed his move-in date. And it's also looking like everybody will be spending the entire day dealing with Winston's (Lamorne Morris) "heroic" injury.

The episode titled "James Wonder," which was previously advertised as the sixth episode of "New Girl" season 6, has been moved two slots in favor of the two preceding episodes. In what will now be the eighth episode of the season, Jess will vie for the soon-to-be open principal's position at her school, but in order to do so, she will first have to win over the president of the Parent's Council, who disapproves of her campaign.

Nick will be all about finding a late wedding gift for Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Cece (Hannah Simone), while Winston will be all set to put his undercover skills to the test. As to what he could be investigating is everybody's guess at this point.

Episode 9 will have Jess and Robby back in each other's paths as they try to test out the possibility of having a casual friendship, whereas Episode 10 will finally bring Reagan back to the loft along with a promise of a memorable Christmas for Jess. What could Reagan possibly have up her sleeves? And will it make Jess' memorable Christmas happy or downright heartbreaking?

A new episode of "New Girl" airs every Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. EST on FOX.
