'New Girl' season 6 episode 11 spoilers: Megan Fox to stay on as Reagan for an eight-episode story arc in 2017

Megan Fox is back on "New Girl" and it looks like she's staying for a while as 2017 ushers in a huge arc involving her character, Reagan.

The FOX comedy's midseason finale showed main protagonist Jess (Zooey Deschanel) flying Reagan in from Seattle as a last-minute Secret Santa present for Nick (Jake Johnson) after the latter bought the exact same shades Jess had meant to give him. Jess succeeded in making Nick happy, she has proven herself a good friend first over an ex-girlfriend who admitted she was still in-love with Nick in the season premiere, but has she really moved on?

The promotional images that the network has released for "New Girl's" midseason comeback indicate that Reagan will be staying at the Loft for at least three more episodes. Perhaps this extended stay could shed some light on the status of Jess' feelings for her ex-flame.

In a scene in its first episode back titled "Raisin's Back," Jess and Reagan are shown drinking together at Nick's bar. Could they be hanging out and talking about Nick? Will Reagan catch on to Jess' lingering feelings for her boyfriend? Does Jess still feel the same for Nick, or has her feelings waned since after her failed attempt at confessing during the season premiere?

The next episode titled "Cubicle," features a scene wherein Reagan is cuddling up to Nick and seemed to be assisting him with his manuscript. Episode 13 titled "Hunk Hunt" shows Jess, Reagan and Cece (Hannah Simone) seemingly caught in a business of their own, while the three guys, Nick, Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Winston (Lamorne Morris) go on a spa date.

Not much detail has been released about what "New Girl" season 6's midseason run will be all about. However, TV Line previously reported that actress Fox has signed on to return for at least eight episodes in the current season, so viewers will definitely be seeing more of her in 2017.

"New Girl" season 6 episode 11 is scheduled to air next year on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at an earlier timeslot of 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
