'Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' news: 'Virtual Reality' mode, new ultimate jutsu for 'Road to Boruto' DLC revealed
A couple of weeks prior to the release of the "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto" downloadable content (DLC), Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed more exciting features about the expansion.
The developer announced the "Virtual Reality" mode, which is not to be confused with the computer-simulated technology being employed in many new games. This phrase applies to a different kind of technology within the "Naruto" universe.
The "Virtual Reality" mode for "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" is one in which ninjas can fight virtual versions of ninjas from all generations and periods of time. This will be an experience that Boruto can enjoy in the "Road to Boruto" DLC.
There will be a total of 42 characters to take on before fans can tackle the final boss, who is none other than Seventh Hokage Naruto himself making for an epic father versus son showdown.
New "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto" gameplay footage also reveal a new ultimate jutsu for the younger Uzumaki. The jutsu is a Rasengan that Boruto can shoot like a hurricane.
Boruto's other ultimate jutsu is the Kote Science Ninja Weapon that allows him to do any kind of elemental jutsu. This jutsu is born out of his love for science.
The gameplay video showcased Mitsuki in action in "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto." He is one of the new characters to be added via the DLC.
Another gameplay footage showed off Sasuke, Karin and Suigetsu battling it out in the Chunin Exam stage as seen in "Boruto: Naruto the Movie."
Released a few days prior is a boss battle featuring Adult Konohamaru. The clip shows Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki taking him on. While the character will not be playable in "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto," he will be someone that the trio needs to beat.
The "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto" DLC will be released on Feb. 2 exclusively for PlayStation 4 (PS4) Japan while the rest of the world will be able to get it on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on Feb. 3.
