'Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' news: new 'Road to Boruto' gameplay sees Boruto destroy Naruto with science gadget
With just three weeks away from the release of the much-awaited "Road to Boruto" expansion for "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4," Bandai Namco Entertainment released a new gameplay video.
The "Road to Boruto" downloadable content (DLC) footage shows Boruto destroy his father Naruto (the younger version) in the battlefield. Boruto also showed off his famous Kote Science Ninja Weapon.
This gadget, which he created through science, something that Boruto likes to make use of during his battle, allows the younger Uzumaki to use every type of elemental jutsu.
In this fast-paced, action-packed "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" footage, Boruto uses the water-style technique to finish off his father.
The "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto" DLC is coming the first week of February. For those who are planning to preorder, Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe community manager Gaëtan Gireme revealed information to keep in mind.
The Boruto and Sarada that came as preorder bonuses for "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" are not going to be included in "Road to Boruto."
"If you did not pre-order the original Naruto Storm 4 before its release date back in February of 2016, then it is not possible to get the pre-order versions with Road to Boruto. The Boruto and Sarada in Road to Boruto are new versions of the pre-order bonuses," Gireme told Saiyan Island.
Those who have the preorder versions and are planning to purchase "Road to Boruto" will not be able to pair up the bonus versions with the new ones from the DLCs.
As for the ability of players to transfer their saves from the original "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" to the physical version of "Road to Boruto," Gireme said that developer CyberConnect2 is yet to clarify this.
"The physical version of Naruto Storm 3: Full Burst on PS3/Xbox 360 was able to identify and upgrade the original Naruto Storm 3 save file for compatibility. It is a possibility Road to Boruto will not be able to do this, but again, this has not been clarified at this point in time," he explained.
"Just to note, this question is in regards to the physical version of Road to Boruto only. The DLC version is just like any other Storm 4 DLC — adding to the original game and its save data," he went on to say.
The "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 – Road to Boruto" DLC will be released on Feb. 2 exclusively for PlayStation 4 (PS4) Japan while the rest of the world will be able to get it on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on Feb. 3.
