"Mr. Robot" newbie Grace Gummer, who boarded the show's current season as FBI investigator Dominique "Dom" DiPierro, says that fans of the techno-thriller will be "very surprised" by her character.

The actress recently appeared alongside "Mr. Robot" co-stars Portia Doubleday (Angela Moss), Carly Chaikin (Darlene Alderson), and Stephanie Corneliussen (Joanna Wellick) on a panel called "The Women of 'Mr. Robot'" at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour in Los Angeles.

During the panel, Gummer spoke about Dom, describing the character as "someone that uses her badge and her gun and her job as her mask."

"I think she focuses on her work as her life in order to maybe distract herself from herself or finding the meaning that she's looking for and finding happiness," the actress added.

"But I think," Gummer shared, "as you'll see as the season goes on, she's obviously very multifaceted and complex and somewhat strange. And I feel like I surprise myself every day with this character. I didn't know what to expect, and I think that's how the audience will feel and will be very surprised."

Meanwhile, Telltale Games, the independent video game developer and publisher responsible for the episodic games based on "Batman," "The Walking Dead," and "Fables," has hinted at a new "Mr. Robot" project.

The company's social media accounts have recently posted short videos about a messaging app for the show's fictional E Corp.

According to Telltale Game's Facebook account, the upcoming E Corp messaging app will be out on Wednesday, Aug. 17, and will be made available for both iOS and Android. No further details about the app were mentioned.

It remains to be seen whether Telltale is developing a multi-episode game series based on "Mr. Robot" or if it is only releasing a small tie-in game for the popular USA psychological thriller/drama.

"Mr. Robot" airs every Wednesday at 10 p.m. EDT on the USA Network.
