'Mortal Kombat X' Kombat Pack 3 release date, news, rumors: Ed Boon continues to tease DLC; 'Killer Instinct' crossover possible?
The "Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack 3" release date remains to be a mystery, but NetherRealms Studios creative director Ed Boon loves to tease fans about it.
On Twitter, Boon often teases gamers about what's coming next from his team. He tweeted about the "Kombat Pack 3" again through a comic strip.
There, the company was brainstorming for the next "Mortal Kombat X" update. The person that suggested the said downloadable content (DLC) was thrown out of the window.
It remains to be seen what this means, but the fact that Boon still slips the "Kombat Pack 3" for "Mortal Kombat X" into discussion suggests that it is still on the table.
The creator talking about the DLC fans have been looking forward to for a few months now, not to mention, in a comedic manner implies that "Kombat Pack 3" will arrive.
The question now is when it will actually see the light of day. There is no way of knowing if Boon already has a release date locked in and is just trolling with fans, which he loves to do, or there is no concrete plan about that yet.
There is also no word as to which character will be included in the "Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack 3" although Boon has already hinted a possible crossover with "Killer Instinct."
On Twitter, the creative director said that he would love to see these two worlds collide, but it might have to be exclusive to the Xbox One.
There were also reports about The Joker paying a visit to "Mortal Kombat X" via the "Kombat Pack 3." The Clown Prince of Crime will have no problems fitting into the world.
However, at the moment, it looks like users will have to wait for Boon and NetherRealms on the update about the DLC.
