'Mistresses' season 4 spoilers, updates: Next episode promises to be rollercoaster of emotions for women of series

The next episode of "Mistresses" season 4 promises to be intriguing. The promo teaser for the series warns fans to get ready for make-ups, break-ups, and shake-ups.

Last Monday's episode had April's (Rochelle Aytes) mother, Marjorie (Lynn Whitefield), roofing in with her and Marc (Rob Mayes) apparently to recuperate after she was in a car accident and subsequently diagnosed with late-stage cirrhosis of the liver. Problem was April let her stay in the house without consulting with Marc.

There were scenes in the episode where Marjorie showed her malevolent side to Marc while appearing all motherly to April. As if taking over Marc and April's master suite is not enough, she had the gall to tell him, "You won't be around much longer, trust me."

The episode also saw Karen's (Yunjin Kim) new nanny trying to pull one over her by using her picture in creating an online dating profile. As a result, next Monday's episode would see Karen getting dragged into a blind date involving a suite to be played by David Sutcliffe of "Gilmore Girls."

In the coming episode titled "The Root of All Evil," Marjorie would continue to abuse her unwanted stay in April and Marc's place. This could put a rift in the couple's relationship and could push April to choose between her ailing mother and her boyfriend.

The promo video for the forthcoming episode likewise shows Karen getting hot and heavy with her new guy, as Harry angrily confronts Joss for keeping his sister Kate's (Tabrett Bethell) romance with Scott (Justin Harvey), Joss' ex, a secret. Joss could be seen taking anxiety pills, so does it mean Harry's constant disappointment with her is finally taking a toll on her?

The answers to these would be revealed in next Monday's episode.
