'Mistresses' season 4 season episode 7 spoilers: Karen to lose custody of her baby? How will Joss react to Kate's little secret?

Fans who are eager to find out what's next for Joss, April, and Karen of "Mistresses" would have to wait until August before the follow-up to episode 6 titled "What Happens in Vegas" is shown. The series will give way to the Republican National Convention and the Democratic Convention that would air on ABC.

Nevertheless, the seventh episode promises lots of intrigues and drama, if the spoilers are anything to go by.

Contrary to earlier reports that "Mistresses" season 4's seventh episode will air on August 8, Carter Matt said ABC confirmed the show would return on Tuesday, August 2. The episode titled "Survival of the Fittest" will be aired following "Bachelor in Paradise's" premiere episode. The publication didn't say for sure, though, if that change in schedule would be permanent. Check out the synopsis they shared:

"Alec threatens for full custody of Vivian, sending Karen into a panic. April and Marc find a condom in Lucy's jacket, forcing April to give 'the talk'. Kate doesn't tell Joss and Harry about her new boyfriend, as it could have serious repercussions. Joss' actions put Jonathan's nephew in the hospital and later causes tension in her and Harry's relationship."

So fans would have to wait some more before they find out how Joss (Jes Macallan) would react to the news that her soon-to-be-sister-in-law Kate (Tabrett Bethell) is dating her ex-fiancé Scott (Justin Hartley). The promo video, which is shown below, shows April (Rochelle Aytes) giving Kate the rundown of how things could go should Joss learn of this little secret.

In the meantime, Joss' diverted attention might be because she just landed Jonathon's (David Negahban) nephew Rezza (Micky Shiloah) in the hospital after practicing her self-defense moves on the latter. She went berserk over Rezza after seeing him get physical with a girl, something that triggered memories of Joss' own harrowing experience in the past season.

The upcoming episode would also reveal if Karen (Yunkin Kim) will lose custody of her baby, Vivian, to her baby daddy Alec (Ed Quinn).
