Michael Schumacher health news & update: Team opens social media accounts for F1 driver
German Formula One race car driver Michael Schumacher has recently been added to various social networks. Although there are still unconfirmed positive reports about the driver's health, his social media sites were reportedly created so fans can have regular updates about his condition.
Sabine Kehm, Schumacher's manager, is managing all his social media accounts. He has a Facebook and an Instagram account to keep fans posted. More importantly, it's a way for them to reminisce the driver's accomplishments in racing.
In Schumacher's accounts, fans were welcomed with the statement, "Welcome everyone to Michael's paddock! We love to share memories with you and what better start could there be than the upcoming anniversary of Michael's first world championship title. From November 13 this page will be our meeting place to collect and exchange memories and to celebrate Michael's many achievements, established as a thank you gesture to all you wonderful fans."
Though Schumacher's manager hasn't given any updates on his health, reports are saying that Ross Brawn, one of the driver's close friends, admitted that he is showing "encouraging signs."
Other reports suggest that Brawn has denied the numerous updates about Schumacher's condition. He said that a lot of the updates are false, but they are hoping for the F1 driver to recover from his injuries.
Kehm previously expressed the same sentiments. Like Brawn, she has denied the updates that are circulating online. Since Schumacher's accident, the family has kept their silence about the driver's health condition. Furthermore, Schumacher's manager stated that there's no point in giving fans false updates about his health. The family is even suing a publication for spreading false reports about his health.
For the uninitiated, Schumacher suffered severe injuries from a skiing accident in 2013. He was in a coma for six months, and he was eventually transferred to their family's home in Switzerland where he is currently recuperating in peace.
