Keeping another veteran to the lineup, the Miami Heat have reportedly re-signed point guard Beno Udrih to a one-year contract.

According to Hot Hot Hoops, the signing is understood as a move to add depth at the guard position following the departure of Dwyane Wade for the Chicago Bulls.

Udrih is coming off an injury which sidelined him for most of the season, but it appears that he is recovering rather well.

It is notable that due to Udrih's injury, he sacrificed $100,000 of his salary to help keep the Heat under the luxury tax threshold.

Now, the Heat has 19 players on its roster as the summer continues for the Florida club.

The team has the capacity to sign one more player to make it 20 for the off-season, but Miami has to eventually cut down to only 15 before the season starts.

Already at 33 years old, Udrih came into the Heat in the middle of last season and played a total of 36 games for Miami.

During that time, he played a small part in the team as he averaged 4.4 points and 2.5 assists per game while only seeing around 16 minutes of playing time each night.

However, his shooting has been reliable as he is a career 46 percent shooter, and he shoots 35 percent from beyond the arc.

At the late stages of his career, Udrih should maximize the playing time that is given to him, and he knows his role with the franchise given that he was given the veteran minimum.

According to Miami Herald, Udrih's contract is worth $1.4 million, but it is a guaranteed deal.

Despite having his best days behind him, Udrih should still play a good role in the Heat, giving young players some advice and being the locker room leader given his veteran experience.
