Star player Chris Bosh gained the respect and admiration of Miami Heat fans when he decided to stay with the team instead of taking the tempting offseason offer to join the power-packed Houston Rockets.

Following the departure of superstar Lebron James from Miami, it would be mainly up to Bosh and Dwayne Wade to fire up the Heat.

Asked why he elected to stay with the Heat instead of joining James Harden, Chandler Parsons and Dwight Howard in Houston, Bosh said it was because of the "offensive freedom" that Miami has given him.

Writer Joseph Goodman then asked him: "In terms of an apple-pie chart, how big was the slice for offensive freedom?"

Bosh replied: "It would be a big slice, a nice slice. A big-man slice. Big. Huge. Unhealthy slice. Close to half."

If he had chosen to join the Rocket, Bosh would probably spend a lot more time on the bench than on the court.

Bosh used a food metaphor to explain his thoughts further. "You just get your entree and that's it," he told Bleacher Report's Ethan Skolnick. "It's like, wait a minute, I need my appetizer and my dessert and my drink, what are you doing? And my bread basket. What is going on? I'm hungry! It's a lot different. But if you can get through it, good things can happen. But it never gets easy. Even up until my last year of doing it, it never gets easier."

The 30-year-old player also acknowledged that money was one of the reasons why he stayed in Miami. He said the offer from Miami seemed reasonable since he has already proven his skills to everyone. Now, Bosh will leading Miami offensively without James overshadowing him.
