Fans have learned new things about the upcoming space adventure video game from BioWare, "Mass Effect: Andromeda." The latest addition to the "Mass Effect" series is expected to introduce new game contents that will make the fans thrilled. Just recently, new screenshots of the game were posted online, revealing new gameplay features.

The Game Informer has been providing details regarding "Mass Effect: Andromeda" for the past several weeks. As a part of their month-long exclusive coverage of the video game, they posted three new "Mass Effect: Andromeda" screenshots to give the fans an idea of what to expect once the game is finally released next year.

The first screenshot from the Game Informer shows a new Nomad vehicle. This new vehicle is quite interesting due to its similarity with the Mako from the first "Mass Effect" installment. If there is one noticeable difference that separates the new Nomad vehicle from the Mako, that would be the Nomad's lack of offensive weaponry. However, the Nomad is more efficient for navigation due to its improved set of controls compared to the Mako.

The next screenshot reveals the new scanning feature in "Mass Effect: Andromeda," where the players are enabled to scan different objects. The players can now scan almost everything, from still objects and piece of technology to a more complex lifeform. It is said that the scanning feature in the game is crucial in the players' progression in "Mass Effect: Andromeda." This is due to the data being collected and stocked in the players' codex after each scan, which will be useful in later missions.

On the other hand, the last screenshot reveals the new combat skills by the game's main protagonist. As reported by Gematsu, the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" lead hero, Ryder, can learn new abilities that are not locked into a single progression tree.

According to Game Spot, the initial release date for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" has not been changed. It is expected to arrive on March 21, 2017, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platform. However, the new Nintendo Switch still might not support the latest BioWare game title.
