'Mass Effect: Andromeda' release date, news, rumors: American comic book publisher leaks March 21 release date for 'Mass Effect: Andromeda'
Bioware is about to release the next installment of the "Mass Effect" game franchise. "Mass Effect: Andromeda" was reported earlier this year to be released in the later part of 2016. However, Bioware later on announced that the release of the game targeted for 2016 will be postponed. As of the meantime, the game studio has not yet revealed an exact date of the game's arrival, although a known comic book publishing company may have leaked the info ahead of them.
Dark Horse Comics, an American comic book publisher, recently posted an update on their website regarding their "Mass Effect: Andromeda" program. The said products coming from the publishing company are said to be based heavily on Bioware's upcoming "Mass Effect" installment. On the recent update, Bioware Director of Business Planning and Development, Chris Bain, acknowledges Dark Horse's efforts for their successful collaborations in the past.
"Dark Horse has been one of our oldest and most trusted partners. It is not only exciting to add more high-quality products to the release, but also to continue our creative collaborations to give our fans the best experiences possible for Mass Effect and Dragon Age," said Bain in a statement.
Perhaps the most interesting part of Dark Horse's latest update is the art book for "Mass Effect: Andromeda," which is said to be released alongside the actual game. The official description of the art book has its release date set on March 21, 2017. Most likely, the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" video game will be released on the same date.
Bioware already announced back in May that the supposed release of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" this year will no longer push through. The company will instead target a 2017 release date for the game, particularly specifying at the E3 2016 that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will arrive around March 2017. The latest art book update from Dark Horse may further support Bioware's earlier announcement, although the company has not yet given an official statement regarding the matter.
There are unconfirmed reports that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will be featuring major improvements on the multiplayer mode, like allowing the players to build and defend their own colonies in the game. More details is expected to arrive on November 7 as Bioware will be releasing the full trailer for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" on that date.
