'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' season 4 to witness Daisy Johnson's major transformation
Daisy "Skye" Johnson (Chloe Bennet), who also goes by her Inhuman character's name Quake, went through so much physical and emotional rollercoaster-like ride during the course of the past three seasons of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." In the upcoming fourth season of the Marvel Comics-based show, Daisy will experience even more drastic changes in her character as she will go solo in her adventures and the advocacies she will choose to independently fight for.
According to The Entertainment Weekly, the change in Daisy's appearance and style which will then be gothic will be a reflection of the emotions the character contains within.
Bennet commented on the character she portrays: "I think it makes her more ruthless being so close to what she thought was her own death. And then it happening in one of the worst scenarios she could ever think of, which is the person that she loved doing it for her, I think it changes her in a way where she probably will face life with even more ruthlessness."
The actress further explained that there was a sense of sadness in Daisy which Bennet tried and let show in the final episode of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3.
"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." co-executive producer Jed Whedon told The Hollywood Reporter, "It's safe to surmise from what you see at the end that she has returned to her root of being a loner." Whedon was referring to what will become of Daisy during the six-month time hop as teased in the final scenes that concluded "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 3.
In the last season finale, Daisy was revealed to be traveling across the country as Quake, causing damages and destruction. Apparently having broken away from her former unit in S.H.I.E.L.D., Quake will now be pursued by the organization.
It can be remembered that Daisy used to consider S.H.I.E.L.D. as the only family she ever belonged to, and to be on the run and be chased down by the same agency that was dear to her will be a radical development of the character.
Daisy has witnessed a lot of tragedies throughout her stint with S.H.I.E.L.D., and fans of the show will have to look forward to whether there will still be an opportunity for Daisy to return to the team or not and carry on working on her own as Quake.
"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." season 4 is slated to return to ABC this fall.
