Married At First Sight Season 1 Spoilers, Rumors and Recap: Jamie Catches Doug Lying
In the recent episode of Married At First Sight Season 1, the three newlywed couples have already been stumbling into hairy situations that you normally see only in older couples. It is not surprising that there will be a few bumps as they get used to married life, so it wasn't a shock to see a few arguments here and there.
The recent episode started with the Hehner couple visiting the wife's childhood place. Visiting her childhood place was a great way of introducing herself to her new husband, but then again, she's still a bit uncomfortable with Doug, and this is pretty evident with how they interact with each other; Jamie is still reluctant to open up too much.
The day started fine between the two, but seemed to have ended in a not so good night. Jamie got a whiff of cigarette smoke from Doug that evening, but her husband denied it, and even protested that he has never lit a cigarette his entire life. Jamie, of course, didn't believe this, and after a while, she managed to make Doug spill the beans and admit that he had lied and did smoke after all. The lie, for obvious reasons, made her think less of her new husband, feeling that Doug is not a guy to be trusted and is selfish.
Jason and Courtney, meanwhile, have their own struggle, but they decided to take things a bit slower, and they want some more time before Jason decides to introduce his wife to his mother.
According to him, as he explained to his new wife, he needs to make sure that their relationship is going to work out great. Courtney seemed very understanding and they both agreed to make their relationship go a steady pace first before taking another huge step.
The third couple, the Copeland couple, visited Vaughn's mother. She believes that the two have the potential to have a steady and long-lasting relationship as long as they learn how to respect and gain the trust of one other.
