Last Monday's episode of "Major Crimes" season 5 saw Julio Sanchez being investigated for what could possibly be his chance at becoming a foster parent. The episode ended on a cliffhanger, and the upcoming episode could touch on that while delving on a potential threat to Los Angeles' tourism industry.

Those who have been following "Major Crimes" since the beginning know that it has been a while since Sanchez was truly happy. He discovered that his wife actually killed herself and didn't die due to an accident. Then, his girlfriend turned out to be a murderer. One blow after another earned him some anger management sessions.

In episode 5 titled "Cashed Out," a worker for the Child Protective Services interviewed Sanchez's co-workers to see if he is fit to become a foster parent. However, the CPS worker seemed to have no idea how the job of a policeman pans out. To the worker, Sanchez's techniques in dealing with high-tension situations are a testament to his self-destructive streak.

His co-workers did everything they can to show the CPS worker that Sanchez is worthy of being a father, but the big reveal of the story was that Sanchez was actually going through a "double investigation." He was being interviewed by the CPS worker to determine his capacities as a father, but the odd format of the last episode (flashbacks, mostly), was actually an evaluation since Sanchez was being considered for a Medal of Valor!

This coming episode would see whether Sanchez finally gets on the winning side. Meanwhile, Carter Matt shared the synopsis for episode 6 titled "Tourist Trap."

"When a pair of British tourists gets attacked on their second honeymoon during a Venice Beach robbery, L.A.'s twenty billion dollar tourist industry is threatened by an English journalist riding their tragedy to a career high. Meanwhile, Rusty's biological mother tries to make peace with him over her pregnancy."

It looks like Los Angeles' tourism industry would be put on the line after tourists were robbed on U.S. soil.

Moreover, if Monday's episode delved into Sanchez' personal story, it looks like it will be Rusty's (Graham Patrick Martin) turn this time, as he deals with the return of his biological mother. It would be recalled that earlier in the season, he and his mom did not part in the best of terms after he learned that she was pregnant.

Will Rusty and his mother make amends in the upcoming episode? Will Sanchez finally become a foster parent?

Find out the answers when "Major Crimes" season 5 episode 6 airs Monday at 10 p.m. on TNT.
