'Major Crimes' season 5 episode 11 spoilers: What will happen in 1st episode of series' 3-part summer finale?
On Monday, the first of "Major Crimes" season 5's three-part summer finale will air, and it looks like the Major Crimes Unit (MCU) is in for one of their toughest cases to date.
Last Monday's episode, which was titled "Dead Zone," touched on Julio Sanchez' (Raymond Cruz) desire to adopt a child after the numerous losses he's had in his life. The crime that the team investigated struck a raw nerve in Sanchez, prompting him to do anything in his power to protect Mark, the motherless little boy who figured into the story. Props go to Sanchez for feeling for the boy even if the child hates him for being Mexican.
The episode also pitted Buzz (Phillip P. Keene) against someone who could have been there during his father's murder. His interview with Hecht and his reluctance to face the truth about the death of his dad and uncle provided an interesting counterpoint to the main case that the MCU was investigating in the episode.
Nevertheless, the episode set the tone for the first of the series' three-part summer finale. The main case investigated was a bit about a particularly eager DDA who was trying to gather evidence to place a White Supremacist in jail. Apparently, the white supremacist existed mainly to make himself look like an idiot. As expected, the case didn't really get solved, as it mainly paved the way for a lengthy summer finale.
Monday's episode 11 will be titled "White Lies." It will be the first of a three-part summer finale, it looks like things will be intense for the MCU. Check out the synopsis shared by SpoilerTV.
"In attempting to clear up loose ends from their investigation of a gang of White Supremacists, Major Crimes' detectives audit the trial of serial killer Dwight Darnell, and end up facing their most deadly case ever while Rusty's psychologist, Dr. Joe, faces an unexpected confrontation that leaves his life in jeopardy."
What danger could be lurking for Dr. Joe? It's hard to see someone who helps keep Rusty's (Graham Patrick Martin) mental health in check be in a scenario that puts his life in danger. Hopefully, the episode will resolve that issue immediately, before the core of the summer finale is tackled in full.
"Major Crimes" season 5 episode 11, "White Lies Part 1" is airing on Monday, Sept. 5 at 10 p.m. on TNT.
