EA Sports' treated gamers of "Madden NFL 17" with a free trial of the video game over the weekend. Players of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 were able to download the game.

The game was only available for a limited time. Gamers were able to play the trial from Friday, Oct. 7, to Monday, Oct. 10. Only players who had an EA account and stable internet connection could do this.

Furthermore, gamers who downloaded "Madden NFL 17" were able to receive defense updates, offense updates and a special team feature. The game introduced new mechanics as well as a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature. The zone coverage was also improved by the developers to balance passing. The special team was also given the ability to influence an entire game through one play.

Last Sept. 23, the developers updated the game. They increased the interception chances for user-controlled defenders in multiplayer catches. The kick metter accuracy penalty, however, was reduced but only under rain and snow set-ups. The developers also increased the wait-time for pass rushers so players can execute shed moves.

Other aspects of the game that were reduced were: the organic knock-outs after catches, broken tackles for ball carriers, throw-out-of sack fumble chances, pass-blocking RBs to cut-block and the success rate for pass-blocking RB's cut-block.

Though the game has received good responses from gamers and NFL fans, it still has a few glitches. According to a report, a glitch in the latest "Madden NFL" video game revealed itself when the Vikings were playing against the Jaguars.

When the Vikings were doing a pass, the ball just bounced off the receiver's hands. In mid-air, the ball bounced back 20 yards. The ball then fell into the hands of a Jaguars linebacker, who then sprinted to the end zone.

"Madden NFL 17" launched on Aug. 23. The video game is available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. For the uninitiated, the American football video game was based on the National Football League.
