MacBook Pro 2016 release date, specs & features rumors: Device to be announced on the 27th?
A lot of fans are speculating wildly on Apple's upcoming event on Oct. 27, and some fans are guessing that an updated version of the MacBook Pro will be announced on that day.
Reports are saying that Apple has not abandoned its MacBook lineup and that fans should get an update from the company soon enough. Invitations to the event have also said that the company has confirmed that a new device is coming and a lot of fans strongly believe that it will be the updated MacBook Pro.
As for the improvements on the device, some reports have confirmed that the MacBook Pro will come with an OLED Touch bar called the "Magic Toolbar." It will be a new feature that will be in the place that is usually taken by the function keys on the keyboard. The buttons on the Magic Toolbar will change depending on the chosen task by the user. It's aimed to make work more efficient when it comes to the MacBook Pro.
Other reports, however, think that the "Magic Toolbar" will be instead named the "Dynamic Function Row." Users will just have to wait till the 27th to find out what kind of name Apple decides to stick with.
It's also been said that the event will see the launch of two variants for the MacBook Pro 2016, one 13-inch version and a 15-inch variant. As usual, the device is also expected to be thinner and more lightweight than its predecessors. It will reportedly not be wedge-shaped like the MacBook Air.
Other speculated features are a USB Type-C port and a Thunderbolt power cord for charging the device. Both versions of the MacBook Pro 2016 are also said to have Touch ID and 3D Touch intergrated on the trackpad.
Though no official announcements have been made for the MacBook Pro 2016, a lot of fans speculate that the laptop will be updated come Apple's event on Oct. 27.
