MacBook Pro 2014 Release Date, Specs News: Touch Screen Feature to be Included By Apple?

Apple fans are anticipating an improved design in terms of aesthetics and performance for the MacBook Pro 2014.

According to MacWorld, the production of components has begun for the new MacBook and that it may be launched this October as Apple generally launches a batch of MacBooks ever October, so they could be released very soon if they do not encounter any issues with the production.

Apple has kept mum about the release date so it remains a mystery. The company is however expected to reveal the official launching date before the year ends.

Although no hardware details have been officially revealed either, fans are anticipating a MacBook Pro built with Intel's Broadwell processor as well as a retina display. Therefore, the official launching largely depends on the availability of the Intel chips.

However, Intel is reportedly having problems in manufacturing their new chips as they have shrunk the size to 14nm from the original 22nm.

Brian Krzanich, CEO of Intel, issued statement to Reuters during the Maker Faire in San Mateo, California that the "Broadwell devices will be ready in time for the Christmas holidays". However, he was mum about the dates.

According to Christian Post, rumor has it that the MacBook Pro 2014 will be available in black instead of the usual silver finish.

Rumor has it that although Apple originally wanted to steer clear from touch screens for their laptops, they are reportedly integrating this feature in the new MacBook Pro 2014.

As for the battery, it is expected, of course, to have a longer battery life. It is rumored that the latest version will have a battery life of at least 15 hours.
