'Lucifer' season 2 episode 14 spoilers: Will Lucifer finally meet God in season 2B?
Now that the midseason hiatus is in full effect and there are three long months to wait out until "Lucifer" season 2 returns with a new episode, fans can't help but speculate about what's coming next on FOX's hit fantasy police procedural series.
Where is Lucifer (Tom Ellis), and what is he planning to do? More importantly, how will Chloe (Lauren German) handle being ghosted right after confessing her true feelings? Will she set out to look for Lucifer so that they can finally discuss the kiss they never had the time to talk about? Or will she decide to just move on with her life and chalk up whatever feelings she has for Lucifer to a temporary lapse in judgment?
The brief teaser released by FOX hints at an upcoming reckoning as Lucifer gears up to face his father.
"I bet Lucifer is plotting his revenge as we speak," Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt), the only other woman who truly knows Lucifer aside from the therapist Dr. Martin (Rachael Harris), says. While in another scene, Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) is wracked with guilt over her son's broken state and tells her eldest Amenadiel (DB Woodside) that she's to blame for it.
But is the Devil really on his way to meet God and set things straight, or is Lucifer just too broken by the devastating revelations he just dealt with to even care about anything anymore? Either way, it seems that God is indeed hitting up "Lucifer" when it returns for the second half of season 2.
Last month, it was announced that "Psych" and "Galavant" alum Timothy Omundson had just been tapped to play an upcoming character named God Johnson. As his name suggests, he claims to be the one true God Almighty, except that being a patient in a psychiatric hospital does not give his words much credibility. However, his enigmatic charm could very well prove otherwise.
Is God Johnson telling the truth? If he is, what other shocking revelations will this entail? Is he in the psychiatric hospital of his own will, or did somebody put him in there? More importantly, how will God and Lucifer's eventual meeting turn out?
"Lucifer" season 2 is scheduled to return sometime in May, hopefully with some answers to these burning questions
