One Direction band member Liam Payne is reportedly planning on proposing to his latest flame, the recently divorced singer Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. The report comes amid rumors that Cheryl is expecting a child with Liam.

According to Metro, the "Call My Name" singer could be walking down the aisle for a third time now that her beau has reportedly been shopping for engagement rings.

The artist formerly known as Cheryl Cole was married to footballer Ashley Cole between 2006 and 2010. Their divorce papers indicated that Ashley had had a string of affairs while married to Cheryl. In 2014, she married French businessman Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini after a three-month courtship. Their divorce was finalized last week.

Cheryl has been in a relationship with Liam since early this year. The two have frequently shared snaps of each other on their respective Instagram accounts.

According to Metro, Liam has been on a quest to find the perfect engagement ring for Cheryl for weeks. And now that her divorce has been finalized, nothing stands in the way of a proposal.

"He bought the rings weeks ago," a source allegedly told the outlet.

As for Cheryl? "She's determined to make a statement this time around and has her heart set on a beach wedding or a private island," the unnamed informant reportedly said.

But why marry so soon after her second divorce? The Metro source said that it boils down to Liam being somewhat conservative.

"He's old-fashioned and wants any baby to have a mum and a dad who are married," the source said.

It sounds like Liam will be following in the footsteps of his One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson, who became a father in January.

There may be proof of Cheryl's rumored pregnancy. According to the news that's circulating, her mother, Joan Callaghan, was recently spotted at Mothercare, where she was purchasing pillows for pregnant women.

"She had a massive pregnancy pillow which helps make your bump more comfortable when you're trying to sleep," a source told The Sun. "She was asking the assistant for advice about another kind that she wanted," the insider added.

Neither Liam nor Cheryl has confirmed these reports.
